🌊 Vision Support Barrow & District – Cross Bay Walk 2026

Join Vision Support Barrow & District for our annual guided walk across the stunning sands of Morecambe Bay—a truly unique coastal experience.

Event Details

  • Date: Saturday, 25th July 2026
  • Arrival Time: From 2:00pm
  • Registration Opens: 2:00pm
  • Walk Start Time: 3:00pm
  • Meeting Point: Arnside Train Station
  • Route: Arnside to Grange
  • Distance: Approx. 9 miles

The walk is fully guided by professionals, ensuring a safe and enjoyable journey across the bay. We’re also pleased to be joined by Galloways, alongside the Vision Support team, who will be there to welcome and assist participants.

Taking Part

  • Ticket Price: £10 per person
  • Dogs: £2 each (assistance dogs free)

Please note:

  • Dogs must be well-behaved and kept close at all times
  • You may need to carry small dogs
  • Be mindful of participants with visual impairments

While tickets are low-cost, we strongly encourage fundraising to support our work.

All funds raised go directly to supporting local people living with sight loss.

Important Information

  • Tickets are non-refundable
  • If cancelled by the Guide Over Sands Trust, tickets will transfer to a new date
  • Places are limited and allocated first-come, first-served
  • By registering, you agree that all funds raised support the charity
