What an Incredible Day!

Our sponsored walk across the stunning Morecambe Bay Sands was a fantastic success, and we’re so proud of everyone who took part.

A special congratulations goes to our visually impaired walkers, who completed the challenging crossing with determination, resilience, and huge smiles along the way. Their achievement was truly inspiring and demonstrated that sight loss is no barrier to taking on an incredible challenge.

We’re also incredibly proud of Emmie, who not only completed the walk but has absolutely smashed her fundraising target! Thanks to the amazing support of friends, family, and our community, she has raised an incredible £365 so far in support of Vision Support Barrow & District.

As if the day couldn’t get any better, we were humbled by an incredibly generous donation from a fellow passengers on the train journey home. Their kindness and support came as a wonderful surprise and was the perfect way to round off an unforgettable day. Thank you—you know who you are!

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who walked, donated, volunteered, cheered us on, and supported the event. Every pound raised helps us continue providing vital services and support to people living with sight loss across our community.

Together, we’re proving that anything is possible with determination, support, and a fantastic community behind us.

Thank you all for making it a day to remember!
