Vision Support Barrow and District Talking Newspaper has been running for over 45 years and is supported by a fantastic team of volunteers.

It was founded by brothers John and Ron Duxbury and originally operated from our old Duke Street premises before moving to Cavendish Street in 1985.

Today, we have around 12 dedicated volunteers who work bi-weekly to record a wide range of local news stories for our visually impaired clients.

Listeners can receive the talking newspaper free of charge on either CD or USB pen drive upon request, or they can listen via our website and download each episode.
