An elderly lady wearing glasses can been seen sat down at a table creating a fat ball to feed the birds
The Barrow and Ulverston Craft Groups enjoyed a lovely session last week, creating fat ball bird feeders in celebration of the Big Garden Birdwatch. The activity sparked plenty of conversation about nature, gardens, and favourite birds, while also giving everyone the chance to get creative and hands-on.
One client shared how much she loves listening to birdsong and how comforting it is to hear them throughout the day. She was especially delighted to know that the feeders would help attract more birds into the garden, bringing even more life and sound to enjoy. It was a simple but meaningful activity that combined creativity, connection, and a shared appreciation of the natural world — and it brought plenty of smiles along the way.
