BBC Radio Cumbria Make a Difference Awards Nomination

We are delighted to share that Kath, who leads the Vision Support Barrow & District Barrow Buddies Walking Group, has been selected as a finalist in the Active category of the BBC Radio Cumbria Make a Difference Awards.

Through the Barrow Buddies Walking Group, she has encouraged and supported many people to enjoy the physical and social benefits of regular walking, creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for all.

Kath has also been instrumental in supporting our visually impaired tennis and spinning sessions, helping participants build confidence, stay active, and enjoy the benefits of accessible sport and exercise. Her commitment to promoting inclusion and wellbeing has made a significant difference to the lives of many people across our community.
